Subject: 3rd Updates to Liturgical Services
To our beloved congregation of Mississauga, Vancouver, and Western Canada
After another careful deliberation between HG Bishop Mina, the Diocese COVID-19 committee, considering the increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases, and in accordance with the decision of the permanent committee of the Holy Synod of the Coptic Orthodox Church headed by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, we have decided to continue to suspend all Liturgical services until Friday April 3rd, 2020.
We are certainly aware that this is an exceptional situation, however, let us all continue to lift our prayers and supplications, asking our Lord to bestow His peace upon us and guide us with His infinite Wisdom. Our Lord God and Saviour Jesus Christ promised us saying “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)
All churches already started virtual meetings for different groups and are encouraged to continue and add more virtual services to fulfill the spiritual needs of the congregation. Our beloved congregation is encouraged to take advantage of these virtual services, as well as continue make use of your time in spiritual readings, prayers, and fasting.
