It is with grateful hearts to our Lord that the diocese of Mississauga, Vancouver, and Western Canada congratulates Mrs. Phoebe Wasfy, the principal of Philopateer Christian College for receiving an honourable recognition from His Excellency President Abdelfatah Al Sisi, President of Egypt, on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the National Youth Conference in Alexandria, Egypt.
Mrs. Wasfy was recognized for her active role in educational reform and for being chosen in 2021 as one of 100 Women of Inspiration in Canada. She was chosen among ten honourees born in the great city of Alexandria to receive this honourable recognition. Phoebe is the first Egyptian Canadian to be recognized by the President of Egypt in the field of education and in the Egyptian Youth National Conference.
Truly, God has crowned many years of hard work and has been glorified through this distinguished recognition. We thank our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for this great honour and we pray that He may continue to bless her richly and grant success to His servants.
